Shape-A-Story is a boutique design and creative consultancy that builds contextual interiors, styled environments, and visual experiences for homes, brands, and developers. Shape A Storys' multidisciplinary approach brings together Interior design, product design, exhibition design, styling, and creative direction to shape spaces that feel intentional, expressive, and deeply connected to occupant wellbeing.
Shape A Story works across luxury residential interiors, commercial projects, spatial styling, and visual direction for exhibitions and brand campaigns. Each project is approached as a narrative where spatial planning, materiality, and atmosphere come together to create environments that are thoughtful. Based in Noida, Shape A Story works with global homeowners, boutique developers, premium lifestyle brands, and design-led startups across India, and are open to International collaborations.
Shape A Story was founded by Akanksha Mukherjee in 2022, a designer whose work spans interiors, exhibition design, and art direction. Her design journey began at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, where she developed a multidisciplinary foundation across art, craft, spatial design, and visual communication. Over the past 15 years, she has worked with studios and creators such as Bamboo Pecker, production designer Aparna Raina, Sumant Jayakrishnan Design, and Livspace, contributing to projects ranging from homes and retail spaces to weddings, television productions, and fashion show sets.
Having lived and worked across Calcutta, Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, her approach to design draws from diverse cultural contexts, craft traditions, and material practices across India. Her professional experience spans luxury residential and commercial interiors, exhibition and set design, and art direction for theatre and television. Alongside her studio practice, she mentors design students at Pearl Academy and is engaged in exploring more sustainable approaches to the built environment, while also contributing to a citizen-led movement addressing air pollution.
