Client Brief and Requirements
This was d’you’s first office in Delhi as the founder transitioned from Mumbai and expanded the brand presence in the city. The space needed to feel like a natural extension of the brand—fresh, youthful, and visually distinctive, while still functioning as a productive everyday workspace.
What the Office Needed Most
-
A strong design concept and storytelling aligned with brand identity
-
A pastel palette derived from the brand's identity and colors which were pastel.
-
A layout that maintains spatial openness within 800 sq ft
Timeline and Turnaround
The project was executed in 3 months, with a fast turnaround driven by business needs: the founder’s move and the brand’s growth in Delhi required the office to be ready quickly—without losing detail or personality.
Design Approach – Memphis Style in a Work Environment
Memphis design is bold, playful, and geometric—great for brand recall—but it needs careful control to remain functional for daily work. The strategy here was to create a high-energy visual language while keeping circulation clear and the workspace light and open.
Space Planning for Openness (in 800 sq ft)
-
Clear zoning between workstations, waiting, cabin, and photoshoot needs
-
Maximised open sight-lines to keep the space feeling larger than its footprint
Brand Storytelling Through Color
-
Pastel walls and accents used intentionally to create a “color code” narrative across the office
-
Statement moments placed where brand impressions matter most (entry/waiting + shoot zone)
Key Spaces Transformed
Waiting Area (First impression = brand impression)
Designed to set the tone immediately—youthful, welcoming, and visually different from a typical corporate office.
Open Workstations (Playful, but productive)
Memphis-inspired color and form language is balanced with openness so the space doesn’t feel busy or cramped.
Director’s Cabin (Leadership zone, still on-brand)
A contained space that maintains the same design language, but with slightly calmer control for focus and meetings.
Photoshoot Zone (Content-ready by design)
Created as an intentional brand asset—supporting content and product storytelling without needing constant re-setup.
Standout Detail
Pastel Color Blocking + Bespoke Rugs
The most memorable element is how color is used confidently—pastel walls paired with accents such as bespoke custom-made rugs that reinforce the brand’s youthful identity and make the space feel designed “end-to-end,” not just painted.
Materials and Finishes Palette
To achieve the layered, graphic Memphis effect, multiple surface finishes were used:
-
Paint finishes across surfaces: Emulsion, Enamel, PU
-
Furniture finishes: Laminates, PU, Duco, Metallic paint
-
Mix of matte + sheen surfaces to create depth while keeping the palette soft

Challenges and How We Solved Them
-
Challenge: No existing brand-led spatial story
Solution: Built a clear narrative using Memphis style elements—geometry + playful composition + pastel color blocking
-
Challenge: Pastel palette in an office (risk of looking “too soft” or inconsistent)
Solution: Controlled the palette with intentional zoning and finish variation (matte/sheen, paint types, furniture finishes)
-
Challenge: Need for openness within a compact 800 sq ft footprint
Solution: Clean zoning + open sight-lines + careful placement of statement moments so the space stays breathable
What Made This Office Unique
-
A pastel-forward Memphis aesthetic rarely seen in Indian workspaces
-
A compact office designed to be both work-ready and content-ready
A brand story expressed through interiors—not just decor
